Twin-wall tubes
The Ecostart, is the lightest and lowest priced shelter in the Tubex range for use where costs must be kept to a minimum. It should be noted that the Ecostart shelters are quite narrow and may restrict growth if not removed timeously. They should only be used where regular inspection is possible. Ecostarts are supplied in bundles of 150 and nested in 3 diameters ranging from 57mm to 73mm and are available in heights of 60cms and 75cms. Complete with 1 pre-fitted releasable tie.
The Standard range is the most popular design. It is available in heights of 60cms, 75cms & 120cms and supplied in multiples of 100 nested in sets of 5 with diameters ranging from 73-105mm. The 60cms units are pre-fitted with 1 releasable tie whilst the larger sizes are fitted with 2 ties.
The Standard Plus range has a diameter grouping of 80mm to 120mm and includes taller sizes - 150cms and 180cm. They are supplied in multiples of 60 nested in sets of 5. Supplied complete with 2 pre-fitted releasable ties. Note: It should be recognised that 150cms shelters and 180cms shelters will require very careful installation and subsequent maintenance if the trees are to succeed. Protection against Red and Sika deer is extremely difficult.
The Standard Ventex range has a series of ventilation holes pre-drilled into the base of a Standard shelter to prevent over heating and to reduce rapid growth in warmer climates or on very fertile sites.is It is popular on the continent. Care should be taken when applying herbicides around these shelters as the large ventilation holes can allow spray to come into contact with the plant. The Ventex is supplied in multiples of 60, nested in sets of 5 with diameters ranging from 80-120mm and is available in heights of 120cms, 150cms and 180cms. Complete with 2 pre-fitted ties.
The Shrubshelter range provides wider diameter protection for larger multi-stemmed stock and is available in heights of 60cms and 75cms; supplied in bags of 28 nested in 4 diameters from 130mm to 160mm, complete with 2 pre-fitted releasable ties.
The Shrubshelter Plus range provides even larger diameter protection for larger multi-stemmed stock and is available in heights of 60cms and 75cms; supplied in bags of 35 nested in 5 diameters from 144mm to 200mm, complete with 2 pre-fitted releasable ties.
All twin walled products are supplied in Green as standard. Brown can be made available on special order. We hold large stocks of the most popular items for immediate collection. We can usually provide delivery within 5 working days depending upon available transport.
